IN A LEADERSHIP ROLE

Lydia Bouchard and Merryn teamed up in 2020 to launch La Résistance, a bold and playful company that revisits the way of creating and consuming live art. La Resistance is a container for multidisciplinary artistic gestures without barriers, producing experiences that challenge the creator and the audience to open up to unexplored horizons.

Alongside her colleagues Roxane Duchesne-Roy and Susan Paulson, Merryn imagined and founded the unique collective Le Broke Lab, a series of research micro-laboratories with a mission to facilitate research in the arts that is uncensored and free from the usual pressures of producing final results.

Merryn has been a key player within the ecosystem of internationally renowned Springboard Danse Montreal, an annual program in Montreal that connects dancers and dance-makers with influential companies and choreographers from around the world. Involved in the organization's maintenance and expansion since 2009, Merryn was promoted to the position of Associate Director and Director of Communications in 2015, overseeing the organization alongside longtime mentor and collaborator Alexandra Wells. Since stepping down from her leadership position in 2022, Merryn has maintained her position as Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Springboard Danse Ltd.
