Catrine Rouleau
Based in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montreal, Catrine Rouleau first earned a diploma in dance from Cégep Montmorency in 2021. Then, in the spring of 2024, she completed her bachelor's degree in dance at the Université du Québec à Montréal, where she had the opportunity to develop a personal artistic practice as both a performer and a choreographer. Among her significant teachers and collaborators are Brianna Lombardo, Nicolas Cantin, Caroline Laurin-Beaucage, Andrew Turner, and Guy Cools. Each of these artists brought a unique perspective to her practice, profoundly influencing her to cultivate a sensitive artistic universe. Catrine embraces a playful exploration of gentle madness, enjoying uncertainty and mystery. Currently, she is interested in the phenomenology of the body and its relationship with memory.
