A note from Ranchod:
Choreographically, I create innovative narrative works that showcase technical brilliance, a beautiful line and balanced imagery. My choreographic footprint is undoubtedly balletic in nature however I continually strive to use the conventions of ballet in an inventive and avant-garde manner. My south-Asian cultural background certainly influences my choreographic identity and provides me with a secondary grouping of movement vocabulary. I appreciate a dancer’s organic movement and take pleasure in collaborating to create well-structured works that stimulate the audience, the dancers and the choreographer simultaneously.
