Emmanuelle Bourassa Beaudoin’s class is based on the principles of Release technique, Limon and functional anatomy. To these techniques, Emmanuelle integrates floor work, the conquest of space, musical sensitivity and the search for “essence”.

You will begin with slow movements on the floor, using only your body weight. You will then be led to work on precision and breath. As you gain momentum, you will accelerate to re-establish your verticality and let the “flow” flow through you, this balance between musicality, momentum, control and abandonment. You will then execute spirals and other amplitude exercises. Playing with the loss of visual cues, your balance will be constantly challenged: you will have to rely on your proprioception.

Finally, the class will come to complex rhythms, weight transfers and space investment. You will work on passing the center through all levels, then turns and jumps.

Maximum capacity: 50 people
