Rosalie Lamoureux

Artist based in Montreal, Rosalie Lamoureux was introduced to dance at a very young age with ballet. She pursued her learning at l’École de Ballet Ouest de Montréal then in the dance program at Collège Sainte-Anne in Lachine where she developed solid skills, particularly in contemporary dance, ballet and jazz. This journey also allowed her to participate in the Nutcrackers of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal and Ballet Ouest de Montréal. At the end of her high school studies, she began her training at l’École de Danse Contemporaine de Montréal. She will be graduating in May 2024. During her training, she had the chance to work with choreographers Pierre-Marc Ouellette, Darryl Tracy, Igor Callonge, Charles Brécard, Parts+Labour_Danse and Jean-Benoît Labrecque and as well as touch the repertoires of Stephanie Lake, Margie Gillis, Dorotea Saykaly and Ohad Naharin. Throughout her studies, she stood out for her total commitment to her courses, for her great daily investment and for her sense of leadership within her cohort. She also shares her passion for dance, through teaching, in a dance studio since 2017. Guided by her curiosity, her great desire to learn and her fascination with the moving body, Rosalie is looking for a physical and expressive body as well as an authenticity of interpretation. She wishes to continue to discover and refine her artistic singularity.
