As a movement specialist that brings together people of all ages and abilities, Luca “Lazylegz” Patuelli shares some unique and inclusive dance teaching practices. Exercises will offer different methods for adapting movement and highlight the importance of focusing on one’s own strengths. With several group activities, this class will help build your confidence and encourage you to stretch your limits, while exploring your power and creative movement.

Luca “Lazylegz” Patuelli developed a unique dance style using his crutches and the strength of his arms. He was a choreographer and a main performer in the opening ceremonies of the Paralympic Games in Vancouver in 2010. He is the creator and founder of the ILL-AbilitiesTM Crew, that unites the best “different” B-boys in the world.

Luca also cofounded the RAD project, the first inclusive street dance program in Canada, offering the possibility of dancing in accessible dance studios to people of all ages and abilities.

Luca has been recognized as the Canadian ambassador of dance and received the Governor General’s Meritorious Service Medal for his programs that raise awareness around dance and disability.

 

 

Advance registration and payment required

  1. Fill out registration form.
  2. Fill out your Services Québec participant profile. This form will be valid for all the classes you will take in Montréal for the current session, ending March 2, 2023.
  3. Pay for classes via Interac before presenting yourself to class.
