Exceptional access for dance students*

* Thanks to this special collaboration with Bouge de là, dance students have the same access to RQD classes as professionals, for this week only.

This season’s opening classes are offered by Bouge de là. Marianne Gignac-Girard will lead the first thirty minutes of class with material to prepare you for the basic and specific requirements of a dance class with breath work, centre work, and activating the body – solo or in pairs. The content will vary depending on the day and the group’s particular needs.

Gabrielle Surprenant-Lacasse will follow with a class inspired by modern and ballet techniques in dialogue with somatic movement approaches. Notions of suspension, control, power, and release will be addressed through floorwork, centre work and travelling combinations, allowing you to experiment taking space and taking risks in a safe and benevolent environment.

Maximum capacity: 40 people

Suggested equipment

  • A long-sleeved shirt (for floorwork)
