Salomé Janan
Salomé Janan is a young up-and-coming contemporary dance artist who has inherited different cultures and moved to Quebec in 2016. A 2019 graduate of the École de Danse de Québec, these years have enabled her to meet, work and create with renowned artists such as Alan Lake, Daina Ashbee, Emmanuel Jouthe, Parts + Labour_Danse, Ginelle Chagnon, Jason Martin, Yvan Alexandre, Karine Ledoyen and Eduardo Ruiz. Each of these encounters has contributed to her artistic development, reinforcing her passion for creation and collaboration in dance. She has since taken on the role of dancer in productions in Quebec (Alan Lake Factori(e) – Le Cris des méduses) and France (Cie Ngc 25 – Le syndrome de Pénélope). Salomé takes a multidisciplinary approach to choreographic creation during her personal research. For her, photography, theatre and everyday actions are creative supports that she then reinvests through new choreographic reflections.
