Marguerite Ingenito

Marguerite Ingenito is an emerging choreographer and leader of the PenserDanser project. Her goal is to found a dance company in Gatineau, in the form of a social economy enterprise. Her team proposes original and contemporary choreographic works. The works are both relational and intellectual, critiquing the social norms of what constitutes knowledge.

The choreographer sees contemporary dance as a vehicle for research into the human being, in a feminist and philosophical gesture. She has taught philosophy at the college level and is preparing to write a thesis for her Master's degree in philosophy. She conducts a series of choreographic projects in collaboration with dance artists and various disciplines to develop PenserDanser's artistic activities.
