Sophie Qin

Sophie Qin (she/her) originates from Ottawa, Ontario, where she began her diverse dance training with Linda Jamieson and Ellen Andrews at age 7. Since graduating from The Ailey School (2020) on full scholarship, and from Herzing College’s 2D Animation program (2021), she performed works by Brendan Fernandes, Jae Man Joo, Amy Hall Garner, Kyle Marshall, Frederick Earl Mosley, Alan Lucien Øyen, James Vivieros, Marius Petipa and Claude Caron, among others. Sophie performed in Alvin Ailey’s “Memoria”, as part of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s New York City Center season 2019, and in 2023 performed in Yesenia Fuentés’s “Mémoire d'un corps à travers le temps” at Festival Danza En La Ciudad, Bogotá, Colombia.
