Julian Beairsto

Julian Beairsto (he/him) is a queer independent dance artist from Whitehorse, Yukon. Having completed a BA in contemporary dance at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, he has worked as a performer for Theatre St Gallen (Switzerland), Dancing Outside (Israel) and as an understudy for Joshua Beamish/Move the Company (Vancouver). Recently, he performed in “The Garden” with ZGB Productions (Whitehorse) and worked independently with Sachi Kambara on a project with the Whitehorse Chamber Orchestra. Alongside his performing career, Julian is passionate about creating community. As such, he is co-founder of the Yukon Contemporary Training Community, a collective offering professional training to dancers in the North. Julian is excited to be moving to Montreal for the winter and to experience Québec’s rich appreciation for the arts.
